Sara No 2

I told you I would be back with a different looking Sara and here she is ~
and from a different angle ~

I simply adore this new image from Jenni at Cardmadfairy Creations so if you are fond of Sara too, why not pop along here and get her for yourself?

I coloured her with my PMs and inked the edges with Tattered Rose Distress Ink, distressed the edges of My Minds Eye papes with my scissors, used a Nellie Snellen Oval Die where I added embroidery thread, made my own flowers and added those gorgeous white things (what are they called please so I can get some more?). The sentiment is a lovely stamp I got as a gift from Mandy.

I am entering this into the following challenges:~
Charisma Cards Mythical/Fantasy challenge (she has an air of this about her don't you think?);
Mamidoodles Flower challenge;
The Play Date Cafe Shabby Chic challenge.

Madeline Bakes A Cake for Fairymoon Crafts

This is my third post for today so please trawl down to see the others.

We are experiencing a family crisis at the moment so I will aplogise in advance if I don't do any commenting this week or don't make any more cards.  Its nothing too serious but very stressful for us all.

My DT card for the Fairymoon Challenge No 34 is made following this fabulous sketch so I hope you will join in the fun!  Do come and play along........also go visit the other fairies to see what they have done with the fab sketch - their links are on the right under Fairymoon Crafts.  They are a very talented bunch of girls!

Using the gorgeous Madeline Bakes a Cake from Mamidoodles, I coloured her with Promarkers and layered her onto pink backing paper.  The pink spotty paper was then layered onto the same pink paper and finally matted onto green paper with swirls from My Minds Eye.  I dry embossed hearts and scallops onto the spotty paper for some dimension and then added a sentiment.  The icing on her cake and in the bowl has bright pink glitter but it is hard to see in the pic.

I am entering this into the following challenges:~

I know we all love our Mams to bits but I love telling my Mam as often as I can - I do this by sending her cards that express how I feel as she lives 600 miles north of us. It is very hard for both of us being apart but it is now coming up to the timeof the year that she hates - my Dad passed away on Nov 16th 2000 - and she still finds this time very hard. It is for 3 challenges -

Tiny Tiddler

This is my first card this week. I am falling in love with my Sugar Nellies that I won earlier this year - I particularly like this one and was just waiting for the right challenge to come along to use her.I made the flowers myself with my Sizzix Bigz Build A Flower - there are 2 other parts to the flower but I feel they look out of place. I simply curled the petals under with the use of my small craft scissors and that made them look so 'full'.
The image reminds me of summer days when we lived on a farm near a small river - suppose it was really a burn (may need to be Scottish to know that word) - and my Granda used to take us down to look for tadpoles. Need less to say I never managed to get any in my jar!

I am entering this one into 4 challenges - I am getting better at linking to more challenges now-
Moving Along with The Times No 50 following their sketch;
Crafty Catz Embossing Challenge No 36 - all the dark green card is embossed using my Sizzix Lines and Circles folder;
the brand new Bunny Zoe's 'Nice & Girly' Challenge No 1.

Ingredients:~
Image is stamp Tiny Tiddles from Sugar Nellie coloured with Promarkers (put back in box before I noted colours! oooops!);
Floral and Striped paper was freebie from mag;
Dark green card from stash;
Flowers handmade by moi with added jewel from stash;
and sentiment from stash.

Mr Mouse

Well, I have finally found time to make another card. Where do all the hours go? Using an image from Mamidoodles, I created this one following Sketch 69 from Inspirational Card Sketches and added real stitching to be able to enter Creative Inspirations.
The close up above shows the stitching around the die and the pic below hopefully shows his whiskers that I stitched in too!

Isn't Mr Mouse just so sweet and bashful - do pop along to see the other images in the set as they are fab!
Ingredients:~
All papers are freebies from various mags over the last few months;
Image is Mr Mouse from Mamidoodles coloured in with PMs ~
Blossom, Dusky Rose, Meadow Green, Apple, Forest Green & Cool Grey 1, 2, 3 & 4.

Earth Fairy using Nellie Snellen Die

Well it is a very wet day here in N London so I have been able to get this card made in the daytime as it is too damp and cold to go out.

I used my Nellie Snellen Oval Die for the first time and am pleased as Punch with the result! I coloured 'Earth Fairy', a recent Friday Freebie from Pollycraft, with my faithful PMs to match the fabulous Kate Knight paper (which incidentally was also a recent Freebie in a cardmaking magazine).

The sentiment I found on a fab site on the Net - I added to the inside 'and she is here to wish you a very Happy Birthday', and I layered it on lilac glitter card.

I used matt silver and lilac glitter card to which I added lilac ribbon and blue and lilac bows from stash.

This close up shows the lovely blue and lilac colours I used. I think I am getting better at my shading now that I have been getting lots of practice - lots and lots!

I am entering this one into Mamidoodles 'Up In The Air' Challenge No 4.
