Have a Splashing Day!

Don't know if I have been missed or not but I have not been around here for a few days - getting a lot more pain in my neck than I was prior to my injection 2 weeks ago. I am going to the Royal Free tomorrow pm to see the doc once again. The next step as far as I know is an op to replace the disc! Don;t even want to think about that at the mo!
This wee card is for 3 challenges :~
Ingredients are:~
papers free from magazine recently;
image is a freebie from Bugaboo coloured with Promarkers ( too many to list today!)
stitching done by hand.
He is such a cutie ain't he?

Curtis freebie

Isn't Curtis fabulous - he is one cool dude! He is a freebie from the fabulous SJ Musings.
I coloured him with PMs and inked the edges of the white card; made the diagonally striped card myself with my PMs and stamped the sentiment with a set of 99p stamps I bought from The Range. You may also notice that I have discovered how to use a watermark on my images with our Adobe Photoshop - took me ages to get it right but think I have cracked it now!

Ingredients:~
Image 'Curtis' freebie from SJ Musings coloured with Promarkers~
Satin & Blush for skin;
Buttercup & Sandstone for his hair;
Slate for his sunglasses & shoes;
Cornflower & China Blue for his shorts with a Poppy stripe;
and Meadow Green & Apple for his shirt.
I am entering this into the following challenges:~

Male card - so difficult we know!

This is a quickie as my back is hurting again now! Been crafting too long today I think! Its for Inspirational Card Sketches No 71 and Charisma Cardz 25 One for the Boys.

Using ISC Sketch and simply using 3 different brown cards and paper, patterned card from stash and strawlike ribbon I created this. Tried to distress it with my NEW distress Tool but I think I just made a mess of it in the end! Stamp is also new (see orev post re Papermill Shop closing).

Thanks for looking X

Brother card

I seem to have had a block over the last day or so - I am having a counselling session with a Macmillan nurse at a local Cancer Charity tomorrow so am a bit uptight about that. Will post again about this tho'.

This one is for Lynne to give to Neil in July. He is a Police Officer - did you guess? Well i recently forked out a lot of money for My Craft Studio Pro and have to say I will only be using the images and papers - I don't like making a card on the PC - it seems unreal and cheating! I printed off the image from Angie's Bucket thingy (thanks Angie) and matted & layered it on sparkly black glittercard, following the sketch for Inspirational Card Sketches Challenge No 70.
Added the speed limit (he will be 27) and made the sentiment on PC - he has a wicked sense of humour (as we all have in this house) so will think this hilarious.

Mr Mouse

Well, I have finally found time to make another card. Where do all the hours go? Using an image from Mamidoodles, I created this one following Sketch 69 from Inspirational Card Sketches and added real stitching to be able to enter Creative Inspirations.
The close up above shows the stitching around the die and the pic below hopefully shows his whiskers that I stitched in too!

Isn't Mr Mouse just so sweet and bashful - do pop along to see the other images in the set as they are fab!
Ingredients:~
All papers are freebies from various mags over the last few months;

Blossom, Dusky Rose, Meadow Green, Apple, Forest Green & Cool Grey 1, 2, 3 & 4.

Words for Inspirational Card Sketches

I am on a roll today what with the pouring rain and being in the house by myself - Graham is up in Rugby today and tomorrow for work. Pulled out all the stops for this one and think it is one of my best card so far - hope you think the same.
Using Sketch No 67 from Inspirational Card Sketches, I coloured Codi from Pollycraft with my PMs. Details below.

The sentiment is something I heard some time ago in a conversation between two elderly ladies. I used Amadeus font.
Ingredients:
Promarkers used Dusky Pink & Ivory for skin; Henna,Cinnamon & Caramel for trousers and hair and Ruby & Dusky Rose for TShirt & hat.
Pink paper from Funky Hands Wordbooks 'LoveNStuff' Extras;
Brown paper and cream pearlised paper from stash; cream paper cut using XCut edger;
Pink ribbon and brads from stash;
Stitching done by hand.

A wee cutie

I came across Inspirational Card Sketches earlier today - there are some fab sketches and a lovely little prize on offer this week.
This is my attempt at their Sketch No 68.
Using an 8X3 card I placed yellow paper and layered on blue pearlised paper topped with a yellow ribbon. A stamp I picked up at The Range (sorry cannot find the packaging for details) coloured with my PMs and layered it on a floral paper from stash - both cut around with pinking type scissors. Stamped on one of my cheapie sentiments.
