New Manga Stamp

Well well, what an afternoon I have had. My 24 year old daughter has just tested positive for Glandular Fever after having blood tests done on Tuesday. I knew there was more to her illness than tonsilittis. She has to call our GP tomorrow morning to get some advice about it regarding work etc.
So I hurriedly made up this card for her to cheer her up - it is her 25th Bday on 7th June so this could not have happened at a worse time for her. We were planning a BBQ on Sat for her but may need to rethink plans now. Thing is we have all been in contact with her over the last couple of weeks anyway so if we are going to get it too we will already have it if you follow me.
If any of you fab people who visit my blog would like to send her a card to cheer her up please contact me and I will send you our address.
This card as well as being for Lynne is also going into 2 challenges ~ The Sugar Bowl No 36 'Pink, Black & White' and Charisma Cardz No 22 ' Flowers'.
Ingredients:~
Backing paper freebie from a mag months ago - floral and striped matted and layered onto black from my stash;
Image is 'Cheerleader' from Sugar Nellie (a prize that I won in a recent challenge) coloured with PMs ~
Shale, Cinnamon & Caramel for hair; Dusky Rose & Blossom for clothing; Black, Cool Grey 5 & 4 for pom poms and shoes and Ivory, Blush & Dusky Pink for her skin.

Malcolm Mouse

Well today girls, tho it is a glorious day outside, my neck is giving me SO much pain I feel terrible and wish the day of my procedure would hurry up. Sounds a bit sadastic doesn't it? Wanting to go thru pain - but then the hope of relief is there for me at the end.
Onto my card for today - I used Malcolm Mouse for Digistamp Boutique June Challenge, coloured him with my PMs, followed the recipe of 2 different papers/3 buttons and 1 ribbon for I Love Promarkers Challenge No 17 and used the fab sketch by Moving Along With The Times No 49.
I am not very happy with the result but am putting that down to my pain threshold being low today.
Ingredients:~
Backing paper is from Funky Hand
Fawn paper from stash run thru my crimper
Dark brown from stash cut with Nestie
Gold fabric/ribbon and buttons from stash
Promarkers used ~
Apple & Forest Green for leaves and grass;Pastel Pink & Blossom for t-shirt and flower; Cinnamon,Caramel, Shale & Dusky Pink for mouse

Words for Inspirational Card Sketches

I am on a roll today what with the pouring rain and being in the house by myself - Graham is up in Rugby today and tomorrow for work. Pulled out all the stops for this one and think it is one of my best card so far - hope you think the same.
Using Sketch No 67 from Inspirational Card Sketches, I coloured Codi from Pollycraft with my PMs. Details below.

The sentiment is something I heard some time ago in a conversation between two elderly ladies. I used Amadeus font.
Ingredients:
Promarkers used Dusky Pink & Ivory for skin; Henna,Cinnamon & Caramel for trousers and hair and Ruby & Dusky Rose for TShirt & hat.
Pink paper from Funky Hands Wordbooks 'LoveNStuff' Extras;
Brown paper and cream pearlised paper from stash; cream paper cut using XCut edger;
Pink ribbon and brads from stash;
Stitching done by hand.

Challenge Card

Good afternoon everyone. You are likely aware it is still teeming it down so another card beckoned me.
I used Bugaboo's image 'Reading Time' once again and coloured it with my PMs using skin tones and two brown shades for the book with Blossom and Dusky Rose for the clothing. Using my Nesties Inverted Scalloped Circles I cut a glitterboard shape and layered it on to the A5 card which is printed in Funky Hand's Love'n'Stuff from their Funky Word Books CD. Using another plainer paper from the same range on the CD I tore different sized shapes for matting down the side and across the top and bottom (with the help of one of those fancy rulers I recently purchased).
I added spotty ribbon that actually came from a very large nationwide cheap store (they wrap it around their PJs). The sentiment was ruined as our naughty kittens trampled all over it before it got a chance to dry so am pretty peed off with this!! But as you all know I cannot scold them - thye look at me with those gorgeous green eyes that say 'we didn't mean it Mummy'.
This one is going into the following challenges:~
Passion for Promarkers 'Books' Challenge No 54.

The next few days I am going to attempt to tidy up my blog - try to find out how to make it look better and to make the posts look a bit neater than they are. I will be googling a lot methinks.
Thanks for looking X

Once Upon A Time....

Hello everyone from a very wet and cold North London. Suppose it saves me watering my bedding plants later!

This little card is for Crafty Cardmakers 'Least and Most' Challenge No 22 and Pollycraft's Hidden Message Challenge No 46. Using A Bugaboo image called 'Reading Time' coloured in with my new best friends (my PMs) in orange (my least liked colour - in fact I HATE it) and brown (my fav colour), I matted and layered onto orange and gold card, then placed onto My Mind's Eye very striking dotty paper and another (cannot for the life of me remember where I got it).

I added the hidden message and matted and layered that also adding 2 leaves (won them in a blog candy ages ago and think they are called skeleton leaves - pls correct me if I am wrong).
I also added 2 differnet coloured ribbons on the right hand side.

Don't they just look SO cute?
