DT card for Fairymoon

Over at Fairymoon this week, we are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments and you are asked to follow a simple sketch to be in with a chance of winning ~ this is what I came up with.

Using a stamp I bought recently and coloured with PMs, I mounted it onto purple and dark purple card and distressed the edges.  The backing paper then had the ribbons and sentiment added so I hope I have followed the sketch as close as possible.

The DT are looking forward to seeing all your creation so come along and play girls!!

Ingredients:~
Image is Entangled from Sugar Nellie range at Funky Kits coloured with PMs~
Dusky Pink, Blush, Ivory, Satin, Sandstone, Caramel, Ruby, Blossom, Prussian, Amethyst, Lilac, Lavender, Apple & Meadow Green;
Sentiment is a freebie from the fabulous Rainbow Echo;
Backing papers and ribbon from stash.

Fairymoon Crafts DT card

Another year has arrived and I wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2011.

                                                          I design for Fairymoon crafts
Over at the fabulous Fairymoon Crafts this week we have got the stunning prize of a set of Bearly Mine papers for the lucky winner of this sketch.   Do pop along and see what they have on offer as their papers are stunning - the DT very kindly got to use them in our interpretations this week.

For my card, I used one of the papers from Bearly Mine, a doily and a beautiful digi image from the very talented SJ Musings.
After using plain papers I had in my stash for matting and layering, I very lightly inked the edges of my image, the doily and the Bearly Mine DP.  The digi image is the very pretty 'Caroline' from SJ over at SJ Musings and she is coloured using my Promarkers (details below). The sentiment is computer generated and, once again, matted and layered in the pink and beige paper from my stash.
I added faux diamonds(!!) and handmade (by me) flowers. The close-up below shows just how pretty 'Caroline' is - sitting there on her bunting.

Ingredients:~
Backing paper  ~  Bearly Mine;
Plain papers ~ stash;
Digi Image ~ 'Caroline' from SJ Musings coloured with PMs-
Blush, Ivory, Sandstone, Col Grey 2, Satin, Caramel, Pastel Pink & Dusky Pink;
Edges inked with Whispers Archival Ink in Chestnut;
Gems and doily from stash.

Come on over to Fairymoon Crafts Challenge!

This week at Fairymoon we are asked to follow a fabulous sketch and are sponsored by Fairymoon Crafts.
I made this card for my daring Mam for Christmas - I wanted something traditional but with a modern twist so hope I achieved this.
Following the sketch, I used fabulous freebie papers from Bearly Mine and resized them in My Craft Studio (also simple to do in Word etc) and matted them onto matt gold card.  The reindeer is actually a free stamp from Crafts Beautiful magazine which I stamped and embossed with Brass Meltdust (not easy to see in pic but reakly stunning looking).  The ribbon and gems are from my stash. The font is computer generated using Carolinga Font.

Fairymoon DT

Over at Fairymoon Crafts this week we have the following on offer as the prize for this weeks challenge and all you have to do is follow the sketch provided ~
As you can see this is a fab prize for this time of year so get crafting girls (and boys).  Do pop along and join in and you could be getting these fab goodies in the post very very soon.

Following the sketch I made this card and am also entering it into Digistamp Boutique November Challenge.  I adore the simplicity of this image and the sketch.

I coloured the Christmas Tree with PMs in Moss, Pear Green and Marsh Green; added burgundy for the bucket and sewed a copper embroidery thread around the tree for effect.  Using my Ultimate Pro I cut the label for the sentiment (which was a bday gift from Mandy along with lots of other fab goodies -thanks so much Mandy!) and used backing paper freebie from Bearly Mine.  The matt gold mirri is from my stash as is the ribbon.

Madeline Bakes A Cake for Fairymoon Crafts

This is my third post for today so please trawl down to see the others.

We are experiencing a family crisis at the moment so I will aplogise in advance if I don't do any commenting this week or don't make any more cards.  Its nothing too serious but very stressful for us all.

My DT card for the Fairymoon Challenge No 34 is made following this fabulous sketch so I hope you will join in the fun!  Do come and play along........also go visit the other fairies to see what they have done with the fab sketch - their links are on the right under Fairymoon Crafts.  They are a very talented bunch of girls!

Using the gorgeous Madeline Bakes a Cake from Mamidoodles, I coloured her with Promarkers and layered her onto pink backing paper.  The pink spotty paper was then layered onto the same pink paper and finally matted onto green paper with swirls from My Minds Eye.  I dry embossed hearts and scallops onto the spotty paper for some dimension and then added a sentiment.  The icing on her cake and in the bowl has bright pink glitter but it is hard to see in the pic.

I am entering this into the following challenges:~

Fairymoon Crafts Challenge No 33 DT card

Over at Fairymoon Crafts this week our challenge is to use the fab sketch provided but also to add a 'Halloween' theme to your card.  I have used the ever-so-cute Halloween Range of stamps from Daisy & Dandelion featuring Pumpkin & Aubergine.  The images are coloured in using Promarkers and then layered onto black then red hammered card. Inked the edges with black archival ink also! The witch's hat and broom stick were then added as an afterthought!  I am not a Halloween lover as I got a really bad scare when I was MUCH younger and it has never left me tho I do like to see the wee kids dressing up.
 The close up shows just how cute and scary he looks!    And than damned spider (another hate of mine ~ can you hear me scream when one appears when Graham is away on business? Likely you can! At the moment the house is full of conkers ~ supposed to keep them at bay?)
I am entering this into FabnFunky's Things That Go Bump In The Night Challenge too!

Fairymoon Crafts DT card

Over at Fairymoon Crafts this week, we have 2 fabulous digis chosen from the stunning vast range at Crafty Sentiments for the winner of our Sketch Challenge. Simply follow this weeks very simple sketch and you could have these fab winner's images in your hands.

The DT were very kindly given some stunning digi images from Crafty Sentiments to play around with and I decided on this great one - Following the sketch I used both the Papermania dotty embodding folder and Sizzix Christmas Set embossing folder for the blue background paper then mounted onto C6 deckled white cards. Colouring the cute image with Promarkers, I mounted him onto navy blue then silver mirri board. The sentiment is computer generated using font again onto the blue backing paper which was then mounted on navy and silver as before. I added some bling with gems I won in a recent competition.

I so enjoyed using this image that I have made a batch of these fabulous cards for my Mam to use as her general Christmas cards in a few weeks so they are now winging their way to Scotland at this very moment in time!

This card is not for any challenges as it was specifically made for the purpose of being a DT card and my Mam's Christmas cards!  But do come and play along with us this week!
