Chloe from Cardmadfairy Creations

This little stunner is  Chloe from Jenni's digi range over at Cardmadfairy Creations. I coloured her with my Promarkers then mounted her onto lilac cardstock - I wanted to keep this a very simple card to show Chloe off to the best! The DPs are from my stash - have no idea where they came from - sorry. The beautiful silver glitter ribbon actually came as a freebie from a high street shop as wrapping around some PJs!  The sentiment is computer generated using various fonts in various sizes. I hope Jenni is pleased with my card featuring Chloe.

I am entering this card into Sentimental Sunday's Birthday Challenge.

Cardmadfairy's 'Snowbaby's Tree'

Well girls, I hope you have been across to Cardmadfairy's Creations to admire Jenni's stunning digi images?  Aren't they just adorable?  While you are there why not check out her previous designs too - there are some stunners in there too!  Great for playing around with in graphics software and My Craft Studio etc - whatever one you happen to have - I have yet to master Photoshop but getting there slowly!

Anyways...on to my card.....

The ever-so-cute Snowbaby's Tree was coloured with Promarkers and glitter added to his furry collar, bobble and cuffs and the tree.  I deliberately kept the tree a neutral colour as I wanted it to be more obvious than the backing papers.  I matted and layered the image onto gold mirri, pale blue & white cardstock; used my Sizzix embossing folder to create the embossed pale blue (not easy to see in pic) and also a text embossing folder for the sentiment on the gold mirri, which was alos matteed and layered onto white card.  Two offcuts of the backing paper were used to create two small plates matted onto the gold mirri to follow Sketch Saturday's current sketch Challenge.  I am entering this into the following challenges:~

Madeline Bakes A Cake for Fairymoon Crafts

This is my third post for today so please trawl down to see the others.

We are experiencing a family crisis at the moment so I will aplogise in advance if I don't do any commenting this week or don't make any more cards.  Its nothing too serious but very stressful for us all.

My DT card for the Fairymoon Challenge No 34 is made following this fabulous sketch so I hope you will join in the fun!  Do come and play along........also go visit the other fairies to see what they have done with the fab sketch - their links are on the right under Fairymoon Crafts.  They are a very talented bunch of girls!

Using the gorgeous Madeline Bakes a Cake from Mamidoodles, I coloured her with Promarkers and layered her onto pink backing paper.  The pink spotty paper was then layered onto the same pink paper and finally matted onto green paper with swirls from My Minds Eye.  I dry embossed hearts and scallops onto the spotty paper for some dimension and then added a sentiment.  The icing on her cake and in the bowl has bright pink glitter but it is hard to see in the pic.

I am entering this into the following challenges:~

Crafty Cardmakers DT card

This week over at Crafty Cardmakers Challenge Blog we are looking for Stitching ~ either real or faux ~ so get your tiny needles, your machines or your pens out crafters.
I opted to use real stitching but wish I hadn't now as my stitching is awful - have to say its down to the fact that the tips of both my fingers I sew with are numb due to nerve damage and this is the first time I have used them since it happened - NO I DO NOT SEW WITH MY FINGERS - I use a needles but you all understood me!!

Using the beautiful Sarah Kay stamp (from my lovely friend Kathleen - thank you), I used PMs to colour her but wanted to keep the whole card simple so only used pink & grey. The backing paper is from Bearly Mine and I have to say I have fallen in love with it - isn't it stunning? The sentiment is computer-generated using Girls Are Weird font and I stitched the end of them together in grey thread.

The card is on its way to Scotland (where my daughter is for the week) as she has been offered and accepted a place at The University of Hertfordshire to study Nursing on Secondment from her current job in the NHS starting in January. We are so pleased for her as she currently works as a Health Care Support Worker and is so good at her job she is wasted there and needs to further her skills and knowledge by doing this course.

As well as being a DT card this one is going into the following challenges:~
Passion for Promarkers Best Friends Challenge; and
FabnFunky Keep It Clean and Simple.

My Secret is out...Cardmadfairy's Brand New Images

You have all been waiting very patiently for my secrest and here it is......the fabulously talented Jenni over at Cardmadfairy Creations now has a DT of which I am very proud to be a member along with some other lovely talented ladies! Please visit Jenni at Cardmadfairy's Creations as she has some beautiful brand new digi images for sale as well as many others and I have to say that she service she provides is first class!

This is what Jenni has to say ~

"I will be starting a new challenge blog in January with fun packed fortnightly challenges and the team will be joined by a new Guest Designer every month, but for now I will leave you with some of the fabulous cards the design team have created with my latest Christmas digi stamps - they have really brought the images to life don't you think?"

She very kindly provided us with her brand new Christmas images to make our first DT cards with and I opted for 'Christmas Carol'.

Using Christmas Carol, I printed one image then flipped it in My Craft Studio and printed another alongside to provide a small group of carollers (not quite mastered merging yet!!), coloured them using Promarkers and lightly distressed the edges.  I matted it onto matt gold mirri board.  Using a 5x5 card blank, I matted and layered some DP from Bearly Mine onto the same matt gold mirri board and distressed the edges.  Printing off a music score of a Christmas Carol, I distressed it, rolled it into a scroll shape and stuck it down onto DP after adding a ribbon. The bow shape has come up really well - what I did was tie a normal bow then turned it around the bottom ribbon and it has really made it look better than my usual tied ribbons! (Well I think so).  I added some pale blue gems to the corners of the DP and the image.
