Anniversary card

This one was made in the sunshine here this afternoon in North London!

It is for 3 things - our 11th Anniversary on 22nd July, Moving Along With The Times Challenge No 47 and Charisma Cardz Challenge No 20.

Following Hazel's sketch in MAWTT and Leanne's theme of 3D for Charisma's, I made this easel card using paper from Funky Hands WordBooks, matted and layered on gold and green card, sticking our fav pic of us in Egypt for Graham's 50th!
I added 2 brads on the bottom by the sentiment.

Hope you like it as I know Graham will love it!

This side view proves it is an easel card!

What do you think of this one?

I don't want to say too much about this card at the moment apart from the ingredients which are ~
Papermania Chatsworth Freebie papers; Lola Rose (who else would it be?) burgundy satin ribbon and Promarkers.

Square Petal Card

This card is for Get Funky's Shaped Cards May Challenge.
Using their papers ( from the extras in 'Anyone For Coffee' in the Funky WordBooks CD), I cut 3 different sized square petals and a flower with a Nestie, I fixed them all together with a brass brad from Paperchase.

The sentiment I added using Scriptina from the PC.
I am not 100% happy with this card as my neck is very very painful today and I am still feeling very lethargic and generally down. I am seeing my GP next week so hopefully will get all the blood and urine results then - I never call for my results - I think if there was anything serious wrong then she would contact me!!

Wedding card

This one is for my daughter-in-law's cousin who gets married in July to the beautiful Bonnie.

Using card blank, pearlised ivory paper and glittered paper all from Papermill Shop, I very lightly coloured the groom with Promarkers and added glitter to the bride's dress, veil and flowers. Printing pearlised paper with text ~ Love, Honour, Cherish ~ I matted and layered the image and added a white ribbon. The font used is Scriptina which I think looks very elegant.

This image is very blurred but I wanted it to show the sparkle of the glitter on the image of Lola Rose adn her new hubby!

The other image at the top shows the insert - which is what Crafty Cardmakers are looking for in their current challenge.

I didn't want to make it too fancy as I thought it would spoil the elegance of the card front.

I do hope you all like it as much as I do.

Polka Doodles Father's Day Card

This card is for Lynne (daughter) top give to Graham (her stepdad) - they do not always see eye-to-eye, but on the whole do get on with each other.
It is being entered into Polka Doodles Challenge No 19 - Dimension and Texture using their fabulous freebie this week!
This fab freebie is not just for use for Father's Day but for many other occasions.

I used my new paper crimper (grabbed it over the weekend while Graham was looking for storage boxes for his shed! I mean how can he NEED anything else for his shed??!!) to create texture in the navy blue card (from stash) and also on the 'ribbons' under the sentiment.

I left the right hand side of the text paper free to slip in the bookmark I also made from the same papers. Then finished that off with striped ribbon from stash.

Hope Lynne is happy with the outcome!

3 Challenge Card

This card I made tonight is for 3 different challenges~

Crafty Catz Petals and Pearls Challenge where they obviously want to see petals and pearls - flowers made from backing paper on pearlised paper;

Mami Doodles No 3 Monochromatic - I had to look this up in the dictionary! Green, green and more green;

and Bugaboo's Catch The Bug Flower Power Challenge.

Papers used are Pink Petticoat's Wild Roses Soft Tones in Pistachio printed onto card stock and pearlised paper for layering.

My gorgeous wee image is Bugaboo's Friday Freebie of today ~ Boo Teddy Bear! Coloured in with guess what? Promarkers? Yes you are correct.

Since I stocked up at Cowling and Wilcox I feel I have better use of them now having more shades of colours etc.

I hope this final photo shows the pearlised paper clearly - difficult in night light to get good pics but needed to get the card uploaded tonight as time is running out very quickly for Catch The Bug!

Mr Mouse In Love......

Mr Mouse in Love from MamiDoodles has been used for the Challenge Card for Moving Along With The Times Challenge No 46. Following Clare W's sketch I coloured Mr Mouse with my Promarkers, used Pink Petticoat backing papers and made a flower for embellishment as required.

This close up shows you just how cute Mr Mouse is and you can get him here!

My First Pyramid Box

This box is for The Creative Cottage Challenge No 10 - Fancy Folds.

I used their May Free Kit to make up this box using a template from Pink Petticoat. Ribbons are from stash.

I crumpled up the flower from the Kit as it looked rather flat otherwise. I added a button from my button box!

Inside the pyramid, I have put another flower from the Kit which I again crumpled up for some body! Unfortunately my pic of the inner has disappeared between starting this post and now - oh where is it?

Relaxing at the Beach

This one if for StretchNBubbles Challenge No 6. I followed the sketch provided and used the image Relaxing at the Beach from SNB, coloured with Promarkers; backing papers are from Pink Petticoat and Zoe Pearn. Sentiments are from HOTP Fabric Stickers which I won in a recent Challenge. Have loads left so they will be cropping up from time to time on here.
I love the image as it reminds me of summer and how nice it is to relax under a parasol in the heat. I also love how her face is hidden and so it is easy to imagine myself under there!

In The Garden

This card is for Mami Doodles Challenge No2 where the recipe was In The Garden and to include ribbon.
I used the image Escargot and Champignon from Mami Doodles and coloured with Promarkers.
Backing papers are from Pink Petticoat; ribbon from stash and sentiment made on PC.
I like the sentiment done with different fonts - think it looks more appealing than all in one style.

A Note to Say....

This card was made for Pollycraft Monday Challenge No40.

The Challenge was to follow the sketch provided.

I used red gingham backing paper from Pink Petticoat; a freebie from Pollycraft coloured with Promarkers; mirriboard, ribbons from stash and sentiment made using stamp from stash 'A note to say'.

This close up shows mummy, daddy and baby so this card I feel could be used for numerous occasions.
I had to make the card simple as my crafting head has not yet come back from The Canaries!!

Moving Along With The Times

Using my favourite digi character - Lola Rose -this card follows Heidi's sketch for the Moving Along With The Times Challenge No 44.

All the backing papers are Pink Petticoat and all I did was tear or rip them to give them a grungie look and inked the edges. The sentiment and gems are both from my stash.

The papers were used as I was tidying up my stash today and chucking out bits and bobs that I have been hanging onto for months - like 1inch squares of paper and various other odd shapes and sizes that I will NEVER use.

This close up shows Lola Roase lounging in her bubble bath -coloured in with Promarkers - something I rarely get to do these days simply because I need to rely on Graham to help me in and out and I don't like to ask him to do too much for me.

Girly Creation for A Special Niece

I discovered the fab Charisma Cardz Challenge No 17 this morning so while making a special card for my dear niece who has just had a miscarriage, I tied it in with the Challenge which was to create a Girly Creation with added flowers. These I made myself in the same way as I did the other day. Loving them!

The image is one of my favourite - the lovely Lola Rose from Pink Petiicoat coloured with my Promarkers. Colours can be seen below - thought it was quicket to take pick than type them all out!! Cheeky me!

Close up of my flower! Used Pink Petticoat papers - Gingham Blossom/Cranberry and Pink and Doodle Dots Positive in Pretty Pink.

Adapted this from the normal 'mother' sentiment to suit me. I couldn't think of anything apt but know this will mean so much to Jen at this difficult time for her and her partner.

Hope you can make out the colours - that is if you are interested! Hope so.
Thanks so much for looking.

Kitty from StretchNBubbles

This card is for StretchNBubbles Challenge No 4 - the recipe is to follow their sketch which can be found here.

I used their Freebie this week - 'Kitty' - I just love the simplicity of their images - makes a change from the usual intricate designs of some other sites I think. I coloured his nose and paws in Forest Green Promarkers.

The papers are from Zoe Pearn - another fab freebie if you like them.

I made the flowers myself using backing papers - simply cut out rough cirlces; scrunched them up tightly then opened them out; added a green button for a centre.

Pollycraft Challenge No 41

This card is for my daughter Lynne's 25th in June and I thought I would enter it into Pollycraft Challenge No 41 - Make Your Own Flowers!
The Image is Lola Rose from Pink Petticoat coloured with Promarkers as usual!

The backing paper is also from PP and is from the Lola's Boudoir range ~ Pretty Pink and Black Borders.

The flowers I made using my Bigshot to cut shapes from PP's Boudoir Pretty Pink Text Small and Random Dots. I inked the edges of the text ones, scrunched them all up and then made flowers alternating the papers and fixing with pink brads from Paperchase.

I just LOVE Lola Rose - in fact I love all of Pink Petticoat's range. Hope you do too........

I did take close ups of the flowers but for the moment cannot upload them to the PC for some reason. When it allows me to I will add them to this post.

Totally Papercrafts No13

Excuse the blurred image - it has been a long hot day here in North London.........and my neck is playing up!
This card is made using Let's Chat digi image that I recently won in StretchNBubbles Challenge No2. I used Promarkers to colour her in to match my papers from Pink Petticoat - the pink floral one and the blue gingham one - the purple used for layering and the mirri board used for the window are both from my stash.
I added two ribbons - one on the curtains and another as her dressing gown belt (you can see it better in the close up) - which I feel works quite well even tho it took me ages to do. Embs were added to make up the ingredients for Totally Papercrafts recipe of -
4 embellishments
3 papers
2 ribbons/lace
1 image.

I made the sentiment on the PC and tried to keep it humourous as the winner this week receives 7 FREE DIGIS from Bugaboo Stamps. They are fabulous! Do go and have a look!
I do hate to say this but Let's Chat looks so like my Mam as I remember her many years ago when rollers were the 'in' thing used by Mums everywhere to curl their hair every night!!!
Thank the Lord for hairdryers and straighteners!!

2 new Challenges to try!

On this gorgeous sunny day in North London I am sat here making this card for 2 challenges - one of which I discovered earlier today while watching Create & Craft!

The first Challenge is Crafty Catz No 29 in which this week they want to see stitches - either real or faux- and Polka Doodles No 16 where Nettie has asked for 'monochromatic'. You can see I have chosen green again - my fav colour!

I tried to place the papers to look like hills but unsure if it has that effect!??!

All papers are from Pink Petticoat and are all in the shade 'Envy'; the image is a Freebie from Mo's Digital called A Thousand Stars coloured with the ever-present Promarkers; faux stitching done using gel pen; sentiment from stash on shapes cut using Bigshot and Large Classic Inverted Scalloped Circles (the only ones I have at present as they are SO expensive!).

I AM A WINNER!!!!!!!

You may know already that I have won Challenge No 2 with StretchNBubbles - I have already been and picked my digi prize and have received it already - the joy of digi images!! Onto Challenge No 3 - using their sketch and their Weird Bird Freebie, I made this card.
Papers are all from stash and I coloured Weird Bird with Promarkers; iked the edges of the scalloped paper and added a funky ribbon as feathers - I think its quite effective! I DID rotate the sketch in order to fit Weird Bird in!! I love him so much.
IF YOU POP ALONG TO THEIR SITE YOU WILL NOTICE A MASSIVE CHANGE TO THEIR RULES: You no longer need to use a SNB image in the challenge AND they are awarding prizes to the top 3!!

Angus the Dog

This small card is for the Challenge set by Moving Along With The Times - a sketch was given and 'Animals' have to be included.

Angus is from Sugar Nellie and I left him white (most Westies are white anyway!) - just went around his outline with a Promarker; papers are all from Pink Petticoat as is the sentiment.

This close -up shows just how cute Angus is......he is so sweet.

Green Custard!

This card is being entered into 2 Challenges - The Sugar Bowl No 34 where the recipe is to use a Punch and to include a Sugar Nellie image - and Creative Cottage No 7 whose recipe this week is 'Going Green' in any way!
All papers are from Pink Petticoat - With Clouds, Dotty and Gingham all in the colour Envy but I felt it needed a bit of colour apart from green, so added a small touch of floral from Pink Petticoat also.
I almost forgot I had to include a punch so I very quickly added a punched flower to my sentiment!
The image is Custard (hence the title) coloured using Promarkers. I think this is one of my favourite stamps - reminds me of when I was a wee girl growing up on the farm.

Sentiment I thought up all my myself!! Thought it was quite funny!
My side view has just disappeared so will leave this post with only 2 images for you to look at.
Happy Crafting!
