Hectic life

Hello my friends in Craftworld and hoping this finds you all well and enjoying this short spell of warm weather we are having.  Tho I do wish the sun would come out and it would be less sultry.....

Life has been a bit too hectic for us lately tho we did have a week in Tenerife enjoying the rest and sunshine. If any of you have been to the west - Los Gigantes - did you walk the Masca trail - wow you must do it but just be prepared with plenty water and the inevitable sore legs for the nest couple of days.

I am going to cut a long story short but Graham is not well - he has flu like symptoms for some time and was referred to haematology at our local hospital for further tests as some of you already know.  He ended up having various blood tests, full body xray etc etc and instead of being called back again next year he has been called back in two weeks.  Now we already know he has a paraprotien in his blood that shouldn't be there and we were told he would only be called back if he needed a bone marrow biopsy done.  Therefore we are assuming, rightly or wrongly, that this is why he has been called back.  At the moment we are trying to be positive but it is hard when you know what the outcome could be - myeloma.  But we are aware that it can be treated with various things so fingers crossed for him please.

Now onto happier times.....our son is 30 in July and I have been struggling to make his card.  Finally I managed to get my head in gear and here it is - he doesn't look at my blog so won't see it.

He is into his bike in a big way so I used a free image of a racing bike cut up using my Mini Cricut into shapes to follow Sketch Saturday's current challenge.  Not sure if it works but hey ho - I can't think of anything else to do as men are SO hard to make cards for.

I have another card to share - just one for my box....
I recently bought the Gorjuss stamps from The Range - not tried them before but love them.  And they were on offer so needless to say I couldn't just get one could I?

I am off to get some new plants for the back garden so hopefully the weather stays nice for me to get them home and in before dark.  Wish me luck girls!

  1. Best wishes to Graham and hope whatever it turns out to be there is some medication to sort him out. Both cards look great, men cards are the worst I agree.

  5. What a fantastic card for your son, all the bicycle parts look amazing! Happy birthday to him!

Your second card is so pretty, too, the pinks are so soft and delicate! whoever receives it will be a very lucky lady!

I'm so sorry Graham isn't well, it's such a worry, and of course in the back of your mind is always the dreaded C-word. However, it is miraculous what can be done these days. I hope the outcome is really positive for you both! Anything I can help with, just let me know.

    Much love, Mags B x
