Winking Student

Good evening my lovely friends in blogland and I hope you are still enjoying this marvellous weather wherever you are in the world. It has been absolutley gorgeous here again today so Graham and I have been out in the garden all day trying to get it in good nick for the summer.  Looking better than it was earlier today but not quite there yet.....

I made this card earlier this morning with another of my new Sassy stamps - ain't she a sweety?

I hope I haven't offended anyone with my sentiment - I wanted it to be funny so spelt the name of a national optician's incorrectly and also put the last few letters upside down....does it work for you as it did me?

As usual I coloured her with PMs and then, in order to qualify for four challenges I recycled by using clear nailpolish on her lenses and also on the apple and I think it worked a treat - the reason I had to improvise is that my local craft shop is c**p at stocking things like glaze, good DST, stamps - in other words if you want to decoupage you are all right he he - but I am hoping to get to Barleylands in Essex sometime over the Easter weekend and there is a fabulous jam-packed shop there with absolutely everything I could ever need (apart from Simply Sassy stamps).  Back to the lenses now - it is very hard to see in the pics but if you look closely you can see it shining.

I am entering this one into the following challenges:~
Moving Along with the Times Recycle;

Ingredients:~
Winking Student rubber stmap from Simply Sassy range at Funkykits coloured with PMs~
Ivory, Blush, Dusky Pink, Pastel Pink, Henna, Cinnamon, Caramel, Sandstone, Satin, Apple, Moss, Marsh Green, Burgundy, Dusky Rose, Blossom and Cool Grey 1;
Papers were a gift from Nic (aren't they just gorgeous so thanks again Nic!);
Buttons are recycled from old clothes (I take all the buttons off of clothes that are no goood to sell at local Charity Shop as they can always be used in my crafting he he greedy or what??).

  18. I'm here Sheila and I popped by last week and left you a comment, honest. Well I never would of thought about using clear nail polish, fab idea hun and what a shame about your local craft shop. I always have to ask at mine but they always order me stuff in, so I'm not complaining. Hope you've saved loads of pennies for your shopping trip! Your sentiment did make me laugh, fab job hun. Hugs Tracy x
