Luv A Latte

This is my second post for today - I cannot sit for long cos of my neck. And some days are particularly bad for me so my posts may be sporadic for a while longer.  I had my pre-op assessment on Thursday at The Royal Free In Hampstead, N London and all is well - I am very impressed because they have issued me with 4 large wet cloths which I have to use after two showers prior to my admission (they are testing them to try to eradicate MRSA and have a very good record so far).  I still haev to get another MRI scan as my last one was over a year ago and my condition has worsened since then - obviouslyt they need to see what internal changes have taken place.  I am very hopeful that this op will get rid of some if not all my pain.  Some folk are telling me I am mad to have it after having by big cancer op in 2009 but it is my last resort as i have tried umpteen alternative therapies, physio, chiropractor, osteopath etc etc.  Even had acupuncture!

Anyways I will continue cardmaking and blogging until my op so here is my second card for today ~

This one is for Natalie (our niece) - she loves visiting Starbucks coffee bar with her student friends so I think this is perfect.  Using fabulous papers from Funky Hand's Funky Daze CD, I distrtessed the edges for a more natural look.  The image is one of Sugar Nellie's Simply Sassy range - Luv A Latte - I just adore these as they are not too cutesy but just so human looking if you know what I mean.  I used a Nellie Snellen to cut out the frame then inked with Distress Ink in Tattered Rose; matted & Layered onto gold mirri card and brown card which I ran thru my Bigshot using a Papermania Swiss Dot folder.  The flowers were made using a Marianne Designs Die again put thru my Bigshot, added those dotty flowers things (what are they called - the things on the white stems?)  and made a CG sentiment using various fonts.  I am sure she will love it as much as I do.
This one is going into the following challenges:~
Bearly Mine Recipe; and
The Sugar Bowl No 52.
Ingredients:~
Rubber stamp Simply Sassy Luv A Latte from FunkyKits coloured with Promarkers~
Ivory, Blush, Pastel Pink, Dusky Pink, Sandstone, Cinnamon, Caramel, Shale, Satin, Marsh Green, Blossom & Rose Pink;
Papers from Papermill Shop;
Used Bigshot for embossing swiss dots and making flowers;
CG sentiment;
Everything else from stash.

  3. Hi Sheila.
    People will always give you conflicting advice about what they would do in your shoes....but Sheila they are NOT in your shoes, you have to make those decisions yourself, go with what you feel is right. We are all not blessed with Hinesite(If thats how is spelt!) It would be great if we were but we all make decisions and have to live with it, I just hope you choose the right one for you, don't beat yourself up about it. You have done lots of reserach, youv'e been great, I just keep my fingers crossed and hope with all my heart things go well for you, we are here as support for you. Debbiexx
