Pink One with a Twist

My second card for today (who wants to go out in the pouring rain?) is for Passion for Promarkers Challenge No 55 'Pink Birthday'. I didn't want to fall into the baby pink/little girl pink style of card so I coloured this image of flowers with my PMs. I am very pleased with the result. I used my new Quickutz Die - Nesting Ovals which works a treat in my Bigshot - and my Nellie Snellen Dies and then inked the edges of both with a chalk inkpad.

I used my Sizzix Butterfly No 9 and made a butterly out of holographic mirri board.

The close up shows the pink hand made paper I used to layer the image. The bday sentiment is inside the folded part on the front - just a normal happy birthday (not worth wasting a pic on).

Dusky Rose & Pastel Pink for petals;

Meadow Green, Forest Green & Apple for leaves and stems,

Glitter pens for stamen (think that what the centre of the flower is called);

and ColorBox Pink Pastel Chalk Inkpad for edging.
