Update on my neck....

Well guys, I finally saw the Neurosurgeon at the Royal Free In North London, and after seeing my MRI scan he has offered me another Cervical Injection - this will be my 4th - but the first to be done while in the scanner. If this does not work for me and give me relief from the constant pain, then the next step for me is removal of the cervical disc - another operation!

I am unsure whether I want to go down that route but it is affecting my day-to-day life so mush I am not sure I can take it any more. It gets me down SO much that some days I do not even want to get out of bed! I am sick of taking painkillers to get thru my days and nights!

Oh well, another wait for treatment on the NHS.....should be done as a day patient within the next few weeks hopefully.

If you or anyone you know has had any treatment like this please tell me about it.

  1. I really empathise with you Sheila, having Rheumatoid arthritis and Fibromyalgia myself, although I take strong painkillers, I'm still fairly mobile for most of the time. Walking the Pennine Way is out of the question though......

    ......Thank goodness....

    Happy Crafting, love Jenny x

  3. Hey hun,
I really hope this works for you this time Sheila, I've lived with constant pain for almost 5 years now and I know how much the pain can totally rule your life. I've some fabulous tablets now but rarely take them as I've no quality of life when I do, I act and feel drunk and cannot even see straight on them, Jodie has even confiscated my scissors while trying to make a card after I'd had one as she said I was totally missing the paper lol
    hugs Mandy xx
