Lady Guinivere

Hello bloggers!

I am glad to see I am not the only one having problems leaving comments - seems lots of us are struggling so apologies to you all from me.

I am unsure abut this card as it is a bit too different for me as you will see.  I also mucked up when I stamped the safety pins - will see if you look closely - Sweep (my crafty kitten) decided to jump onto my shoulder at that precise second and I dropped the teenie weenie stamp right down on top of her dress!!! Of course it had to be already inked up too didn't it?

Colouring her with my good old PMs, I used Nic's (or tried to use it) tip on how to create a different looking background - as this is my first try at this I am reasonably happy with the outcome.  I used red crinkled paper, black glossy paper and white cardw with safety pins stamped on to tie in with the others.  To get the real pinned on look I masked a small part of the pin stamp and am very pleased with the look of them.

There is no closeup - too easy to see the mess I made boo hoo.

Ingredients:~
Lady Guinivere stamp from Funky Kits,
PMs used Ivory, Blush, Dusky Pink, Cool Grey 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5, Henna, Cinnamon, Caramel, Sandstone, Cardinal Red, Ruby & Poppy;
All papers from stash;
Ribbon and brads from stash;
Safety Pin stamp from See D's Vintage Morsels from The Range.

I am entering this into the following challenges:~
Sketch Saturday's current sketch;

Thank you all for your continued support!

Crafty Cardmakers DT Card

I would like to share this card with you all - my first as a Design Team member for Crafty Cardmakers. Using our Around the World theme as World Cardmaking Day is coming up, I came up with this depicting The Far East. Your entry MUST be easy identifiable as relating to another country or continent. The Stampman are offering a £10 voucher for the winner of this one - so come on girls and guys get your geography books out and get cardmaking!!

I coloured the fab image from MamiDoodles with my faithful Promarkers, matted and layered it on burgundy, ivory pearl and black card; added the Chinese sign for Friendship (matted and layered in same way); added 2 floral elements and then put them all on lovely backing paper freebie from C&P some time ago.

Ingredients:~

Anita's White Square blank (135x135mm);

Freebie paper from Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine ~ Kate Knight paper stack;

Image from Mami Doodles coloured with PMs~

Lavender, Blossom & Maroon;

Meadow Green, Forest Green & Apple;

Cool Grey 1 & 2;

Sentiment from PC;

Floral elements from Papermania ~ Lilac & Silver flowers set.
