Thanks SEW much!

I would like you so see this gorgeous wee boys of mine - Sooty & Sweep who have taken to sleeping on our bed in the afternoons. Aren't they just heavenly? But really they are wee monsters. When I go to bed while Graham locks up Sweep comes up with me and hides under the pillows til Graham comes to find him. So now Sooty has started soming up too and he hides under the duvet at my feet! The funny thing is when we got them we both said they were not to get onto the beds!! I can see that rule flew out the window then. I am tempted to let then stay with me all night when Graham is away with work but I am not sure that is a good idea - it would be SO obvious to Graham when he came back wouldn't it? Still on the subject of the kittens - we tend to call Sweep (the tabby) Squeek as he cannot yet meiow and may never we have been told. He simply squeeks instead and it is SO funny. Onto this card now - it is for 4 challenges - the most I have managed to tie together in one card.
I am entering it into Craftilicious 'Thanks' Challenge; Bugaboo's Sewing and Fall Colours Challenge; Pollycraft Autumn Colours Challenge and Bunny Zoe's Sketch Challenge.

Isn't this bear just so cute sitting there on the thread spool looking so innocent but methinks he has unravelled all the thread and it is in a pile behind him somewhere - gosh my head is full of stupid thoughts today!!
Ingredients:~

Papers also freebie from some magazine some time ago;
Ribbons, brads and plain papers from stash;
Sentiment made on PC;
Inked edges with Whispers Archival Caramel Delight.

Recent Holiday

Seems like months ago but it was only 2 weeks ago Graham and I went home to Scotland to visit my Mam and my Brother who was home from The Netherlands for 2 weeks. The 1st pic is me at the bottom of Loch Lomond - we stopped of for 2 nights in Glasgow and did the tourist open top bus tour and visited here - it really is stunning. This is my happy hubby taking a well-deserved rest - we had walked for ages then did the 2hr cruise up the Loch - fab experience for both of us - very relaxing too!
Now this one is me, my Mam and Brother, Robbie, on Orkney. We took a coach tour around after the 40min ferry trip and you must go there if you can. The islands are steeped in history from the Vikings to Churchill and the Italian Chapel constructed by POWs. It has been one of my Mam's lifelong dreams of visiting here so we finally managed to help her do it.

The final pic is of me in the National Arboretum in Staffs - this place has such a quiet calming atmosphere and it was such a lovely day of sunshine. We stopped here on our last day after staying the night in Kendal near to my crafting buddy Debbie. If you get the chance do go to this memorial for all the services (police garden is where pic is taken).

No card today yet - been busy catching up on my Macmillan Support Group. The friends I have made on there have been lifesavers for me - I took part in a Stanford Uni/Macmillan Cancer trial of the Expert Patients' Programme over the last 2 months for Cancer Survivors and there is a group of 10 of us who are keeping in touch and we have set up a Friendship Group on the Macmillan Site. We will likelt never meet up but the fact that we are there for each other is a godsend.
Thanks for looking today and happy crafting,
Bye for now................

Isn't Lynne beautiful?

My lovely Lynne on a recent night out with the 'girls'.

Cycling mad son!

This is my hunk of a son Neil on a recent 1700mile cycle relay to Montpellier with some of his work colleagues. They raised a considerable sum of money for local charities. Well done Neil!
