Something a bit differrent

Some of you may know already I am currently exploring Mixed Media but my supplies are very limited at the moment so bear with me til I get my stash full ha ha!

You may also know that I am addicted to Lizzy Love's images on Oddballs.  Gee they are fab!

I bought myself an art journal from The Range and intend to fill it with my life......here is the front cover...

 I have used Gesso to seal the cover then stamped a background using a horrid old wooden stamp I was ready to throw out!! Knew it would come in handy one day.....I added more stamps images and embossed but that didn't work very well . That's the thing about Mixed Media - anything works!! My image is SissNSuzie Sleeps a Lot from Oddballs coloured with my Prisma pencils.  I added washi tape and stickles for more texture and finished it off with Builders Scrim on the binder!

Now I know its nowhere near the standard of Lizzy and some others but I have just started to please be kind with your comments ha ha!!    I plan to make lots of different stencils with my Mini Cricut that has been hiding in my cupboard gathering dust and hopefully get some pan pastels; paints and texture paste I saw in the Range the other day!
