Happy Birthday Honey Pip

Well what on earth has happened to the weather - it is cold here today and extremely windy.  Bitter wind too. Hoping to get a nice winter break booked in Fuertaventura late November so been doing lots of research on TripAdvisor etc.

My card for today is made using the ever so sweet Honey Pip from Funky Kits - aren't they just adorable?

 I have followed The Sugar Bowl's current Sketch (fab on BTW girls) and distressed all the edges too. I am also entering this into SweetStamps Anything Goes; and The Crafty Purple Frog Lots of Layers
Ingredients:~
Honey Pip rubber stamp,
PMs ~ Blush, Pastel Pink, Dusky Pink, Oatmeal, Cinnamon, Caramel, Sandstone, Shale, Blossom, Apple, Meadow Green, Vanilla, Cool Grey 1 & 2;
DPs are freebie from mag (think they are My Minds Eye);
Co'ordinations pink embossed with Sizzix folder and rubbed down;
Ribbons and gems from stash;
Sentiment made using stamps from Personal Impressions and cut out using my new Sizzix Framelits - much cheaper than Nesties but still ideal if simply cutting shapes.

Many thanks for visiting and Happy Crafting :)

Love Letters Just for You.....

I have had a very full crafty day today - this is my 3rd post - cannot think where all the ideas are coming from.

This wee one is using the fabulous Love Letters stamp from Funky Kits - hoping to pay them a visit when I am up in Elgin next - which hopefully will be sometime this month to pay my old Mam a long-awaited visit.  I just adore the shop and could spend a week in there quite happily!!

 I have used up some more of my paper stash here along with some brand new ones from Pink Petticoat I bought ages ago and forget all about - dopey me as they are fabulous!!  I have distressed by scissors and distress ink around all the edges as I LOVE this look.
 I have used my PMs for colouring again - hoping to get some more Prismas for my Birthday later this month (Graham has already asked for Prisma Man's email addy so what else can that mean??).
The pic above shows the Co'ordinations card I put thru my Bigshot in a fab folder I rediscovered in my boxes of stash.  I then sanded it down to show the inner black core.  Love it :)

I am entering this into the following challenges:~

Wee Memories Favourite Technique (distressing for me girls);
The Sugar Bowl (3rd entry) fab sketch to follow girls);

Over at The Craft Garden, they are currently recruiting new DT members so I am entering this card in for consideration for that too- fingers crossed for me guys!

Ingredients:~
Love Letter stamp from Funky Kits;
PMs ~ Blush, Pastel Pink, Dusky Pink, Oatmeal,  Sandstone, Caramel, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Spice, Shale, Honeycomb and Flexmarker Light Fawn;
DP from stash and also Pink Petticoat;
Brads from stash.

Many thanks for coming here to pay me a visit.  Much appreciated :)

Simply for Christmas

This is my second post for today - got the house to myself and peace and quiet.........

Well I suppose it s about time to start making those dreaded Christmas cards methinks - I dread the festive season as it brings back so many bad memories of a very unhappy first marriage where my hubby drank constantly for the 2 weeks he was off work and no matter how hard I try to put the past behind me, I cannot forget these years.

Enough of me being morose......here is a card made using one of Jenni's fabulous new Imogen images - 'Imogen Trimming The Tree'  - I tried to keep the card simple to show off how pretty the image is....she would look fab in any colour wouldn't she?

I used my PMs in various shades of grey and black, added some glitter, gems and ribbon.  DP is from Pink Petticoat.

Ain't she just adorable - you can buy her here along with lots of other fabulous digis.

I am going to enter this one into the following challenges:~

Fetch A Sketch No 8;
Craft Your Passion Anything Goes and
Cupcake Craft Challenge Black and White Christmas.

Many thanks for visiting folks :)

Autumn is a Second Spring.....

What a gorgeous weekend we have had here in the SE - today is a bit cooler but still very nice.

Welcome to my new followers once again - good to read your comments about my work too.  I will get around to visiting you all soon I promise.

My card for today is made using one of Jenni's fabulous digi images - an older one but very pretty I think and just perfect for colouring to match any colour challenge or occasion.....you can see all of Cardmadfairy's digis here....

I coloured the digi with my PMs using autumnal colours, mounted some fab papers (think they are from My Minds Eye range) and added a freebie sentiment from Rainbow Echo Designs.

I know I am biased but Jenni's images are fabulous to work with - she has such a wide range of subjects that are perfect all year round.

I am entering this into the following challenges:~
Crafts 4 Eternity Anything Goes;
Totally Papercrafts Autumn and
Lia's Stampz No 4 Sketch.

Happy Crafting wherever you are :)
