A TASTE OF THE ORIENT CHALLENGE
Over at Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Jenni has set a fabulous challenge for you this time .......we are looking for 'A Taste of The Orient'. Over on Jenni's site she has produced some brand new beautiful digi images just perfect for playing along and being in with a chance to win some gorgeous images from our sponsor, Little Claire's.
Have a sneak at these images ~
Aren't they just fabulous? I have to say when I read 'Orient' I nearly had a fit as I am not a 'lover' of that but when I saw Jenni's Blossom, I knew I could make a perfect card for the Challenge. I kept the card simple as I wanted the image to be the centre of it so all I added was a dictionary definition of 'blossom' which I think has worked out fine.
The pink handmade paper is from a pack I bought in The Works some time ago but fitted in perfectly with the digi image and the burgundy layer is white card coloured with PMs to be an exact match. I printed the image off twice and decoupaged one on top of the other after colouring with my PMs - I just love how Jenni kept the image uncluttered and very clean.
I added some wee floral gems in pink and then made an oriental style tassle using embroidery thread and a bead I got off a pair of flip-flops that fell apart after one use!! Knew those beads would come in handy one day!!
I would like to thank you for coming here and having a browse and look forward to visiting you back to see your work.
I love this card, its gorgeous. I dont think I would be doing this challenge. I'm on the lookout for a sketch for my dil's birthday soon with CMF 'all dressed up' image.
ReplyDeleteIts still cold and wet with a bit of sunny spells. Are we going to missed summer, maybe autumn too.
