Hippy Chick

Hello my friends, and I hope your weather is as nice as it is here today in North London.  Sunny, warm(ish) and a light breeze. Perfect!

Today's card was made yesterday but couldn't get it uploaded here as my neck has been playing up the  last couple of days.  Can't put my finger on where the pain is tho but it doesn't feel like it was before my op - I do wonder if it is muscular as I am using muscles that have been asleep for over 3years.  I had a lovely warm soapy bath last night and that helped a bit.

I have used the gorgeous Hippy Chick and coloured her with my Promarkers (not sure I like the black and white look but have to try it).  The DP is from My Craft Studio Professional and is just a simple background paper with a floral design - perfect for this hip chick I think!  The black scalloped paper was made using an Xcut edger and the flowers I made all by meeself!!  They are hard to make out on the pics but all I did was cut a circle of black paper, then cut a spiral shape into it and coiled them together!! Hey Presto flowers!!  I like the distressed look on these fab Simply Sassy images so I did the edgs of the card I used with my scissors - can't get the hang of the distress tool I bought - may be I need to try another brand - any ideas girls?

  1. Hi Sheila,
I use the Tim Holtz grey tool with the red dot, I don't have any problems using it, but to be honest b4 i bought it I used the scissors like you did, and I don't think there is any difference. Your distressing looks great on this card, wouldn't change it. Love the B&W and the image. Sorry your neck is soar, hope it does not get any worse for you. Dx
