Recent Holiday

Seems like months ago but it was only 2 weeks ago Graham and I went home to Scotland to visit my Mam and my Brother who was home from The Netherlands for 2 weeks. The 1st pic is me at the bottom of Loch Lomond - we stopped of for 2 nights in Glasgow and did the tourist open top bus tour and visited here - it really is stunning. This is my happy hubby taking a well-deserved rest - we had walked for ages then did the 2hr cruise up the Loch - fab experience for both of us - very relaxing too!
Now this one is me, my Mam and Brother, Robbie, on Orkney. We took a coach tour around after the 40min ferry trip and you must go there if you can. The islands are steeped in history from the Vikings to Churchill and the Italian Chapel constructed by POWs. It has been one of my Mam's lifelong dreams of visiting here so we finally managed to help her do it.

The final pic is of me in the National Arboretum in Staffs - this place has such a quiet calming atmosphere and it was such a lovely day of sunshine. We stopped here on our last day after staying the night in Kendal near to my crafting buddy Debbie. If you get the chance do go to this memorial for all the services (police garden is where pic is taken).

No card today yet - been busy catching up on my Macmillan Support Group. The friends I have made on there have been lifesavers for me - I took part in a Stanford Uni/Macmillan Cancer trial of the Expert Patients' Programme over the last 2 months for Cancer Survivors and there is a group of 10 of us who are keeping in touch and we have set up a Friendship Group on the Macmillan Site. We will likelt never meet up but the fact that we are there for each other is a godsend.
Thanks for looking today and happy crafting,
Bye for now................
